Diego Rivera was a great artist with a deep love for his country, Mexico, and its history and traditions. That history served as a remarkable source of inspiration and was the focus of many of his works. Through this story and the associated activities, young learners will gain a greater appreciation of Mexican art and culture.
The activities included in this course are ideal for use at home with younger children interested in exploring Mexico. Teachers can also use it in their classroom or for distance learning as part of a module on Hispanic culture.
I read this story to my three boys (ages 4 to 9) earlier this year. I was surprised by how many questions they asked and how excited they were to find out more about Diego Rivera's artwork. Their enthusiasm was my inspiration for creating this package. I hope your little artists find as much enjoyment as mine did!
